Take the Leonardo Express train to Roma Termini (around €14), or a taxi for roughly €55–€80. Cruise passengers dock at Civitavecchia Port, about 70km northwest of the city.
Rome is generally safe, but stay alert around Termini Station and in crowded tourist areas where pickpocketing is more common. A few neighborhoods — Esquilino, San Basilio, Tor Bella Monaca, and Corviale — are worth extra caution, especially at night.
