Rome — Places to See
Room after room of masterpieces, leading to Michelangelo's ceiling.
The Vatican Museums house one of the world's great art collections, building up to the Sistine Chapel itself — a separate ticket and a separate line from the Colosseum, worth planning as its own outing. Inside, Michelangelo's frescoes cover the ceiling and altar wall — allow at least two to three hours to see the collection properly.
