Monte Solaro

Standing at 589 metres, Monte Solaro offers the best panoramic views on the island, taking in the Bay of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. A chairlift from Anacapri reaches the summit in about 12 minutes (9:30am–5:30pm, May–October), where the Eremo di Santa Maria a Cetrella hermitage awaits. Fog often gathers here, earning it the nickname "cloud catcher."
